ABOUT ME
I started learning piano at the age of seven. At grade 4, I achieved an exciting 140/150 marks, grade 7 with distinction, and finally attained grade 8, ABRSM. I also won a couple of cups in competitions.
Over 19 years ago, I started giving private music lessons. Within 18 months they numbered 50 each week. About 2/5 of my students are primary school age, 2/5 secondary, and I am delighted to have a good number of adults, too.
My hope is that each student learns thoroughly and enjoys each lesson. To enhance teaching, I use my own compositions and a range of styles. It is great when students bring pieces they want to learn, or have written themselves!
